Article Abstract:
The Hewlett-Packard HP 150 personal computer uses the Intel 8088 16-bit processor plus 256K memory to run the MS-DOS 2.0 operating system and dual disk drives. A special feature is HP Touch by which the user can touch the screen to issue commands. Facit's Generation III is a selection of workstation furniture modules and accessories, including printer stand and wire routing facility. CompuCard software with Rapid Printing is used on Apple IIe and IBM Personal Computers. The software creates and updates Rolodex cards whcih are indexed by two fields. Dictaphone's System 5842 microprocessor runs tape recorder logs and incoming radio and telephone messages. The four-channel system has two tape decks for automatic changeover or backup plus automatic search capability. Other products, training tools, and services are listed.

The Burroughs B 7900 series mainframe computers offer memory expansion in modules of six million bytes. The processors are offered in multiples of the combination of central processor, host data unit, and auxiliary processor. The SerifET TypeRighting word processing system consists of full page display, Selectric-lik keyboard, and operation functions similar to typing. The Silver- Reed EX55 electronic typewriter can be operated simultaneously or used as a printer. The SerifET is manufactured by Wordtronix. Brief descriptions of various software products, office supplies, satellite data transmission systems, copiers, and personal computers are presented.

New products described include Digital Equipment's DECtalk unit which accepts input through an RS232C port and converts ASCII text to human speech. Speech can be adjusted from 150 to 350 words per minute in a choice of male, female, or child's voice. TAB Products' Modular Clustered Workcenter accomodates from one to six microcomputers in a compact floor space. The unit contains a central core housing power lines and cables. Options include filtered air flow and storage components. Other equipment, listed with suppliers' addresses, include software, peripherals, and supplies.
