The Human Side
Article Abstract:
Making good decisions when faced with a superabundance of choices is among the difficulties of working and living in a complex world. One way to avoid the paralytic sensation that so often follows from the inability to arrive at any decision at all is to first make oneself aware of all possible choices. The method suggested involves writing each conceivable alternative on a three-by-five index card and then sorting the collection into solutions that feel comfortable, solutions that are moderately endurable, and solutions that are totally despicable. The author advises a careful reconsideration of pile one.
