Prosoft pilots instructor-led, on-line training class
Article Abstract:
Prosoft Corp is turning to the Internet to accommodate a rapid training schedule for its instructors. The development of Netscape Communicator in the summer of 1997 necessitated a quick training period so that the instructors could teach the application to their clients. The instructors were trained at remote sites across the US using the LearnLinc I-Net product from Interactive Learning International Corp. Instructors and learners gave a positive feedback on the distance-learning pilot which gave them the space to work at an individual pace and proximity to their own homes and sites.

Training goes cruising at Carnival
Article Abstract:
Carnival Cruise Lines has started training its IS managers aboard its fleet of 11 cruise ships prior to its standardization of Windows 95 and NT. The training course will provide the managers with hands-on experience with working on the cruise ships' new PCs and servers. The training system is the result of an audit of Carnival's systems and IT management processes which pointed to a move toward a more centralized IT management structure and standard information systems.
