There Are Still Many Obstacles Preventing Widespread Implementation of Office Automation
Article Abstract:
The lack of requirements analysis, the evolution of office automation (OA) into a business, poor interface technology, poor attitudes and fallacious cost arguments have prevented widespread implementation of OA. However, these problems are solvable. Requirements analysis should be standard, the OA industry should focus on customer relations and OA equipment design should be looked at in the problem-solving context. Cost effectiveness can be proven with feasibility studies.
