Frankel direct wins Consumers Energy

Chicago, IL-based integrated and branding promotions agency, Frankel, was chosen by Consumers Energy, Michigan's largest public utility, to become its direct agency of record. The public utility's account is specifically handled by the company's one-to-one marketing unit, Frankel Direct. Under the terms of the deal, the unit assumes all responsibilities concerning Consumers Energy's acquisition, retention, win-back and customer loyalty and will, in return, receive an estimated $4.5 million.

@tmosphere cleared for $15M CarDay campaign

CarDay, a used car dealer in based Orlando, FL, announced in Apr 2000 that it has chosen @tmosphere, a partner of advertising giant BBDO New York, to be its advertising agency of record. @tmosphere will manage the used car dealer's entire marketing communications program, which will supported by a media spending of about $15 million. One of the ad agency's priorities is to help CarDay establish and launch a Web site in Boston, MA, by May 1, 2000.

BBDO West wins Pink Dot account

Pink Dot Inc of Camarillo, CA, an online grocery and food delivery service provider, has chosen the services of advertising agency BBDO Los Angeles (BBDO West). The account, estimated at $10 million, was given to BBDO West after a competitive review that involved six other agencies. Pink Dot, which has emerged as one of the top direct-to-consumer grocer in the US, plans to build on its achievements with a strong branding influence.
