Article Abstract:
George W Buckley, chairman and CEO of Brunswick Corp, notes that successful CEOs put an enormous amount of passion in what they do. Buckley admits that he likes people who are part of the warrior class, people who would like to win. He asserts that passion is a strength in the boating industry but adds that product quality and service are not as good as they ought to be. The British-born executive was running Mercury Marine Group since 1997 after which he was promoted to lead the parent company out of its financial misery.
