ALC makes databases available online
Article Abstract:
American List Counsel Inc (ALC) said in May 2001 that its 60 signature database online at ALClists.com is now available. ALClists.com is a transactional Web site that allow marketers to run counts and download list data directly to their computers. Launched in February, the site offers over 15 million Dun and Bradstreet Corp's business names and over 81 million Equifax consumer names. In addition to the 60 ALC databases, the Advo resident occupant file of over 116 million households has been included in ALClists.com.

ALC acquires McGraw-hill titles
Article Abstract:
American List Counsel Inc (ALC) in late Jan 2001 assumed list management duties for McGraw-Hill Cos' files. According to Bill Denhard, director of the McGraw-Hill list management center, the company hopes ALC could help penetrate many of the secondary list rental market McGraw-Hill was unable to reach before. The McGraw-Hill files join the ALC roster of established business-to-business clients. ALC and McGraw-Hill plan to work together to improve list rental fulfillment procedures and turnaround time.

The strategy is aimed at combating increasing postal and paper costs.
