Architect's duties doubled at a blow
Article Abstract:
The SFA92D&B.EC (1992 Standard Form of Agreement Design and Build Employers' Client) is separate from the main building contract. The use of the term 'contract' within the SFA is as defined by the Standard Form of Building Contract with Contractor's Design 1981 Edition. Schedule 2 is optional and lists the things an architect should undertake before setting out an appointment under the standard form. The advice which an architect should give includes: form and content of the contractor's proposals and sum analysis; completion of the contract documents and the powers and duties of the contract parties.
