Mailer triest to heat up ice cream sales

Ben and Jerry's, based in Burlington, VT, will partner with supermarket chains to deliver several million direct mailings throughout Jun 2001 to promote its latest ice cream flavor called Concession Obsession. The new flavor contains nonpareils, fudge-covered crisped rice candy and peanuts dipped in fudge. The campaign will tie in with the company's Citizen Cool summer event wherein people nominate others in the communities who perform good deeds.
