Cataloger's prospecting list yields strong response
Article Abstract:
Poland by Mail's first two mailings of its spring catalog have generated response rates of 2.5% and 6%, respectively. The above-average response rates were made possible through infoUSA's PowerFinder CD-ROM, which contains the names of 800,000 US residents of Polish descent. The database became the basis of a targeted list of 90,000 names, determined through customers' buying patterns during the last 24 months. The targeted list was used with Poland by Mail's in-house file of 60,000 names for a spring mailing of 150,000 catalogs.
