CompuCredit selects Quest for database services

Atlanta, GA-based CompuCredit has named Quest Software Inc as its provider of database services including monitoring, development and troubleshooting. CompuCredit, a direct marketer of Visa cards under the Aspire brand name, needs Quest's assistance in moving its data from an SQL server to an Oracle environment and managing that data. CompuCredit will be assisted by Quest's Production Suppport pproduct in increasing developer productivity, detecting and diagnosing problems and ensuring the quality and accuracy of projects.

Seagate Software goes to the dogs

Seagate Software Inc of Vancouver, British Columbia, is launching a direct mail campaign that incorporates humorous dog photographs to lure customers to its data-analysis and data-sharing software. The company is giving away full versions of Seagate Analysis and Seagate Info 7 to companies of at least 250 employees. Recepient of the software can then purchase additional copies of the disk, which has a license for only 50 users.

ALC will manage Scholastic's QED databases

American List Counsel Inc of Princeton, NJ, will start acting as list manager for New York, NY-based Scholastic Inc's QED databases of teachers, schools and other educational topics effective dec 1999.
