Fair, Isaac forms alliances, debuts products

Fair, Isaac and Co. Inc., a San Rafael, CA-based data management and consulting company, has recently forged a strategic partnership with Prime Response, a New York-based international marketing automation solution provider. The alliance aims to offer customer marketing management solutions to the financial services industry. The deal will integrate Fair, Isaac and Co.'s business solutions with the data management and marketing solutions from its subsidiary DynaMark Inc. and marketing software from Prime Response. Meanwhile, Fair, Isaac and Co. has unveiled InfoBridge, an offering of data-warehousing services and analytic tools that allow financial institutions to interactively review portfolio data managed by the firm's Triad adaptive control systems.

FedEx drops into NC Post Office first

FedEx Corp has entered into a business alliance with the US Postal Service. The first phase of the alliance begun in Mar 2001, with the activation of FedEx drop boxes at 82 post office locations throughout the Charlotte, NC, area. After the initial implementation, the postal service may make similar arrangements with other overnight shippers. The deal is expected to save the USPS $1 billion in transportation costs over the length of the contract.
