Y&R ready for battle to keep Army account

Young and Rubicam Inc of New York, has launched a strategy to keep its $14-million US Army ad account. The account, which had been handled by the firm for 12 years, is up for review as a result of the decline in the number of recruits in the 1990s. Around one-third of the Young and Rubicam's contract are direct-marketing related and handled by its CRM services division, Wunderman Cato Johnson.

Premier cruises with Fahlgren in $12M deal

Premier Cruises has awarded its $12-mil advertising contract to Tampa, FL-based marketing communications firm Fahlgren Advertising. According to President/CEO Bruce Neirenberg, the firm chose Fahlgren on the strength of its successful work for the Florida Board of Tourism. Fahlgren will help Premier in creating a new marketing communications direction, including a long-term branding strategy to promote its upgraded food and beverage services. ;

GET Airfone takes off with Home&Office program
Article Abstract:
GTE Airfone Inc has launched an integrated marketing campaign which targeted the members of its Home&Office program. The campaign, which was created by Townsend Agency Ltd of Rosemont, IL, has been designed to boost the transaction-oriented relationship between GTE and its airline phone product. It featured as series of postal mail and e-mail communications combined with links and references to its satellite Web site.
