Getko/Welcome Wagon of Westbury, NY, has launched a direct mail campaign targeting potential movers located in the Northeast and Southeast. The 48- page Welcome Wagon Pre-Move Planner were mailed to 60,000 confirmed movers who are purchasing a home and will be relocating with a few months to a year. The planner contains special coupons from banks and car rental firms, different worksheets and charts and tips on choosing various services such as real estate brokers and mortgage banks.

Salesforce uses research to target companies' CRM needs

Salesforce.com in mid-Jan 2001 launched a 300,000-piece direct mail campaign employing a mailer that produced the best results during the firm's first test campaign in April. The company, which intends to promote its Web-based enterprise software CRM solution, also called salesforce.com, will drop the last batch of mailings in Feb 12. The piece includes a number of offers that proved the most effective during a campaign undertaken in October.
