Article Abstract:
The roofing industry needs to adopt changes in the new milleniun, including the call for 'green' or environmentally-friendly roofing system. This kind of roofing system is consistent with architects' idea of sustainable design that includes the use of environmental and energy conserving technologies with longer life cycles. Utilization of a reflective (white or silver) coating will also decrease heat absorption and ultraviolet degradation on the roof.
