Industry wins time on emission, catalyst rules
Article Abstract:
The two regulations related to evaporative emissions and catalysts will take some time to get enforced. The marine industry is relived for the moment as it was not in agreement to the EPA's suggestions regarding method of reduction for evaporation emission. EPA has decided to adopt regulations similar to those employed by Europe, and CARB testing is taking longer than anticipated though they are convinced that the technology will help once regulated.
