Oracle shifts to selling on the Internet in Europe
Article Abstract:
Oracle Corp's European operation has shifted from telemarketing to online selling in marketing products worth less than $80,000. Part of the move was the change in the name of Oracle's European operation from Direct Marketing Group to Oracle Internet Sales Div that took effect in Jun 2000. The company's main reason for going online is that, unlike using telephones, the Web allows Oracle to demonstrate its products.
