The campaign includes radio and television spots, telemarketing, print and online advertising and direct mail, and will focus on four major markets, namely San Jose, CA, Seattle, WA, Chicago, IL, and Portland, OR. Late mailing hurts DMB turnout
Article Abstract:
The direct marketing industry gathered for the fall Direct Marketing to Business in Chicago, IL. The turnout was even smaller than expected and in comparison to the attendance level in 1999. The reason cited for the smaller turnout was the late registration mailings which went out slightly later than scheduled. Howeer, Direct Marketing Assn and Intertec attributed the smaller turnout to the focus of the majority of attendees at business-to-business shows who are very specific about the sessions.
