Ontario utility bundles services for customers
Article Abstract:
Ontario Hydro has launched the Onsource bundled utilities program, which it will use in reinforcing relationships with customers. Onsource will allow households to consolidate a range of recurrent monthly bills into a single statement. Services covered by Onsource include hydroeletric, natural gas, long-distance and wireless telephone, and water heating. The electric utility will test Onsource in 100,000 households in Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga and Ontario in the summer of 2000.

Rogers AT&T Wireless and Labatt Brewing Co have entered into a partnership agreement for the promotion of blueline, the communications company's digital messaging service targeted at young adults with ages ranging from 19 to 24. The team-up is the second year in a row that the companies have teamed up. The promotion involves offering two months of free local service and automatic membership to the bluelne messaging program.

OgilvyOne launches pilot BTB practice in Canada

OgilvyOne Worldwide's Toronto office has launced a new service called Ogilvy Business-to-Business Practice geared for the small-office/home- office (SOHO) market. The new service, to be led by senior partner Elaine Taylor, is intended to reflect the growing importance of the SOHO market to OgilvyOne's clients. Taylor will manage a team of consultants in direct marketing, interactive and database marketing and advertising.
