Competing services help consumers end telemarketing calls

Both Private Harbor of Doylestown, PA, and Screen4me.com of Atlanta, GA, offer consumers the service of having their names erased from telemarketing lists. The former can arrange for consumer names to be placed on the do-not-call lists of more than 1,500 firms that conduct telemarketing. Meanwhile, the latter promises to put consumers on the do- not-solicit lists of more than 1,000 telemarketers, direct mailers and e- mail marketers.
