Pleasing customers is hard work, not ideology
Article Abstract:
Experts in the building industry share their views on the need for total quality management (TQM). They believe that TQM entails dedication, cooperation and education throughout the company's hierarchy. Companies need to define their quality goals and gear their operations towards achieving these. They must encourage and motivate their employees about the importance of quality and ensure that they follow quality control measures. They should also conduct market research to determine consumers' preferences so that they can produce the right products of good quality at affordable prices.
