Rapp Collins Worldwide teams with HispanAmerica

Rapp Collins Worldwide has formed a joint venture with HispanAmerica Response Marketing. The latter is a consulting and targeting services firm specializing in Hispanic-oriented markets worldwide. Among its clients are Cendant Corp, Montgomery Ward, Procter and Gamble and Bertlesmann AG. Rapp Collins CEO Malcolm Speed said the joint venture would give their clients the opportunity to enter Hispanic markets in the US and abroad. Beatriz Mallory, HispanAmerica's former president, has been appointed as the joint venture's CEO.

AGA Mktg Dir Robin Glatt said that the company will do work for cable television service A and E Television Networks, footwear manufacturer Aerogroup International Inc's Aerosoles, and catalog firms/retailers Frederick's of Hollywood Inc and Spiegel Inc.

FCB Worldwide, the direct marketing unit of True North Communications Inc, has combined FCB Digital and FCB Direct into a single unit that will be known as FCBi. The move is seen as a further confirmation of the changing nature of direct marketing as well as the growing importance of customer relationship management (CRM). True North also used the occassion to announce the launch of New York-based Analytici, FCB Worldwide's newest CRM database.
