Read the fine print, show promoters warn: Austrian company solicits exhibitors to sign up for an ad directory with a hidden Internet fee
Article Abstract:
Construct Data, an Austrian company, is fooling people by soliciting exhibitors from numerous boat shows for information to be included in its Exhibitors FAIRguide. The solicitation form states that participants get a free entry in the FAIRguide, but in fine print an annual fee cost of $981 is added, which one realizes only when they send the invoice as nobody reads the fine print in haste. NMMA forewarns all members to beware of such solicitation and read written material carefully before committing one self.
