On-site recycling of construction materials can generate savings in waste disposal costs of builders. This will enable them to stay in competition and conserve landfill space and other resources. Reusable or recyclable construction materials include clean wood, cardboard, bircks, asphalt and concrete. Palermini and the Solid Waste Dept of Portland has outlined guidelines for developing a construction site recycling program.
