Bovis team tipped for air-traffic job

It is believed that the contract to build, equip and operate an air-traffic control centre planned by the Civil Aviation Authority for Prestwick, Scotland, will go to the Sky Solutions consortium. This is made up of Lockheed Martin Air Traffic Management and Bovis. The facility, which will control air traffic over Scotland and northern England, is scheduled to come into operation in 2001. It will be operated by the successful bidder under a 25-year concession.

Bovis' US recruit to strike global deals
Article Abstract:
The US operation of UK construction firm Bovis has appointed Bob Nilsson as senior vice-president of Global Business Development. He will be responsible for the company's global marketing in the US, making use of its network of 64 offices in 30 countries. At present, Bovis derives 5% of its income from working with clients on a global basis, and hopes to be able to increase this to 20% in the period to 2001. The company has a number of expansion plans, including a second Japanese office.
