Sega debuts network, rebate program to spur sales

Las Vegas, NV-based Sega Corp has launched a promotional campaign to support the launching of its a high-speed online gaming network, called SegaNet, on Sep 7, 2000. The company is offering $200 in rebates in a form of a free Dreamcast system to consumers who sign up with SegaNet for a two-year minimum subscription. Subscribers will also receive a free keyboard with the rebate. SegaNet will cost $21.95 a month and will initially feature 10 to 12 online games.
