Ski boat sales are still soaring: wakeboarding and V-drives have propelled the segment to new heights
Article Abstract:
Inboard ski boats have posted a strong sales record for 1999 with an increase of 12.6% from Jan to May 1999 that comes in the wake of a 25.5% increase in 1998. One of the key factors fueling the sales expansion is the growth of wakeboarding which combines with a strong economy. Most significant, however, is the consumer's appreciation of the space-opening features of the V-drive configuration which has become a main feature of most top-selling inboard ski models from all the major manufacturers.
