Deutsch New York wins Pfizer's Zoloft DTC account

Pfizer Inc of New York has awarded the direct-to-consumer marketing account for the Zoloft anti-depressant drug to Deutsch New York, the Manhattan, NY-based unit of the national advertising agency. Deutsche, which already has the account for Pfizer's anti-allergy medication Zyrtec brand, won the $50-million-per-year account after being chosen from a field composed of Merkley Newman Harty Healthworks, Y and R Advertising and FCB Worldwide of Chicago, IL.

Pharmaceutical company SmithKline Beecham Biologicals S.A. of Rixen, Belgium, has launched a multimedia campaign for its LYMErux vaccine against Lyme disease. The multimedia campaign, created by Rubin-Ehrenthal and Associates of New York, includes prime-tome network TV spots, direct response advertisements in newspaper and national magazines and direct mail campaing reminding patients to return to their doctors to get follow-up injections.
