Tender price forecast
Article Abstract:
Construction work for the UK entertainment sector has been very buoyant, with orders valued at 2.24 billion pounds sterling in 1998 and increasing by a further 2% in the first seven months of 1999. The demand for maintenance work in the housing sector remains strong and it is predicted to rise in value by 800 million-900 million by 2001. In comparison the retail building sector has declined due to changes in the planning laws. The total construction output rose by 1.4% during 1998-99 but it is forecasted to grow by 7% during 1998-2001.
