Prefabricated housing manufacturers' little investment in advertising, combined with mass media's reports on the danger of living in this type of homes contribute to the continuing deterioration of the image of manufactured houses. To improve the image of prefabricated houses, manufacturers are advised to invest more in image building and to become active in product development and safety issues.
