UK privacy group tries to halt Gmail in Europe, Canada
Article Abstract:
A United Kingdom Privacy group has lodged complaints against Gmail, GoogleEs new e-mail service, with European and Canadian regulators. Gmail not only scans e-mails for spam and viruses but also matches them up with related text ads. As per Privacy International, some of its practices may be violating the European Union Privacy law. While Canada may ban Gmail, the UK regulator has declined to act as gmail is still in testing.
