Article Abstract:
Direct marketers have expressed anger over the US Postal Service's revenue assurance initiatives, particularly its bullying efforts to collect additional postage payments for mailings dropped several months or years back. Barry Brennan, director of postal affairs for the Mail Advertising Service Association, said that mailers are aware of their duty to follow proper mail preparations and pay the appropriate postage. But mailers may have no way of furnishing the required documents for all aspects of mailings.

Electronic postage meter deadline nears
Article Abstract:
Mailing service providers and related companies are required to complete the replacement of their low-speed mechanical meters with electronic or digital ones by Mar 31, 1999.
