Wientzer: USPS takes DMers for granted
Article Abstract:
Direct Marketing Assn pres and CEO H Robert Wientzen had criticized the US Postal Service for disregarding the continued business and revenue growth of the direct mail industry and for treating it unfairly. Wientzen presented his remarks at the DMA 2000 Government Affairs Conference held in Washington DC. He also claimed that the rate proposals of the USPS is still maintained at three to five times the rate of inflation even though the 1996 postal reclassification and the 1999 rate increase generated surpluses.
