VarTec Telecom tests friend-to-friend mail with USPS

VarTec Telecom is testing its Friend-to-Friend Mail program with the US Postal Service. The Friend-to-Friend program allows marketers to send customers free, postage-paid postcards, which customers can then send to their families and friends. Vartec then gains a new group of people to advertise its products and services. Vartec spokeswoman Gloria Tostado said the postcards allow the company to convey its gratitude to customers while giving it a new venue for attracting additional customers at the same time.
