Westbury Ho!
Article Abstract:
The purchase by Westbury of Clarke Homes in Dec 1995 was designed to allow the former company to undertake further growth through acquisition if this is considered appropriate, according to chief executive Martin Donohue. The purchase gave Westbury 2,228 plots with planning permission, and made it the seventh-largest housebuilder in the UK. It has seen a rise in volume as a result of the deal, but overheads have not increased.
