Article Abstract:
Postal insiders say the next postmaster general could likely be Stephen Goldsmith, the former mayor of Indianapolis, IN, and a senior adviser to Pres Bush. Goldsmith is a partner at the Baker and Daniels law firm in Indianapolis, and is best known for privatizing 70 public services in the city. During his stint as Indianapolis mayor, Goldsmith was named Public Official of the Year by Governing magazine. Other possible choices for the post include deputy postmaster general John Nolan; COO Jack Potter; and John Kelly, president of USPS' expedited packaging services division.
