Ziff's new consumer-travel title builds on past circulation success

Ziff-Davis Publishing of New York and Expedia, a Bellevue, WA-based online travel site, are launching a bimonthly consumer travel magazine, called Expedia. The periodical will be launched in late summer 2000 and will have an initial circulation of 200,000. Expedia will try to promote the new magazine with a free-trial issue, while Ziff-Davis will handle offline promotion through a direct mail campaign.

American Profile of Nashville, TN, has announced that it will launch its Sunday newspaper supplement on Apr 23, 2000. The company is presently signing up rural and community newspapers to distribute the supplement which aims to become synonymous with celebrating American hometown life.
