General Motors Corp's 1995-1999 GMC Jimmy/Envoy models feature a new design and come in two- and four-door body styles with rear-wheel drive or on-demand, part-time four-wheel drive. Models produced beginning in mid- 1995 featured permanently-engaged four-wheel-drive. The wheel base in these models remained the same as their predecessors, but their bodies were lengthened by 4.8 inches and widened by 2.4 inches. 1990-94 GMC Jimmy
Article Abstract:
General Motors Corp's 1990-1994 GMC Jimmy models provide advantages in terms of acceleration, four-wheel-drive traction, passenger and cargo room, anti-lock rear brakes and, with the later models, air bags. Their drawbacks include fuel economy, noise, ride, rear-seat entery and exit in the two-door models and the lack of air bags in the early models. This generation and the automaker's Chevrolet S10 Blazers were among the first compact sport-utility vehicles.
