Credit check: we've found that advice from home-improvement companies on the credit packages they sell can be sorely lacking
Article Abstract:
Credit is often used to pay for expensive home improvements such as a new kitchen or replacement windows, and the Consumer Credit Act is in place to protect against faulty products or services. Researchers found that representatives from home improvement companies are not always knowledgeable about the credit schemes they are selling. All the companies researched offered payment protection plans (PPP), an insurance to cover payments, but the small print in one policy stated that it could not be cancelled. Researchers also found a lack of written information about the credit and PPP schemes.

Is your child sitting safely?: the latest designs of car seat are a great improvement, but some are easier to use than others
Article Abstract:
Child car seats were examined for ease of fitting and cleaning, whether they could be fitted incorrectly and degree of protection. The Jeenay Nest Egg for babies at 20 pounds sterling was amongst the best buys, although instructions needed to be a bit clearer. The best buy for older babies and toddlers was the Britax Super Cruiser at 60 pounds sterling and the best buy for older children was the Britax Horizon, although it was uncomfortable. The Jeenay Kombi Seat was not recommended as it could be fitted wrongly.
