Hospital care: knowing your rights and what to expect from a stay in hospital can help relieve any anxiety
Article Abstract:
30 people were asked about their experiences as NHS in-patients, with regard to admission times, information received, communication and the ward itself. Most were generally satisfied with the care and attention received and were impressed with facilities. Some had to wait longer than 18 months for admission, and some had their appointments cancelled after receiving an admission date. There were large variations in the amount of information provided for patients on leaving hospital.

Your shopping rights
Article Abstract:
UK consumers have a number of rights under the Sale and Supply of Goods Act 1994 if a product is faulty. In law, the consumer is entitled to a full refund from the retailer, and is not obliged to accept a repair or an exchange. The shop does not have to give a refund or exchange if consumer decides that he or she simply does not like the product, but may do so out of goodwill. It is important to retain the receipt and return the goods as soon as possible.
