Rating reliability
Article Abstract:
A survey of car owners was conducted to check how reliable their model of car was and the results compared with similar previous surveys. New cars are getting more reliable, with only 6% breaking down compared with 11% and three year warranties are commonly available. Problems increase as cars get older. About one-third of cars aged between six to eight years old had a minimum of one problem, while under 20% of cars aged less than two years had a problem. The figures varied depending on the manufacturer. Daewoos had more problems while Hyundais, Mazdas, Mitsubishis and Subarus had less.
