Reliability
Article Abstract:
Cars have generally become much more reliable over recent years, but there are still considerable variations between different makes and models. In 1996, only 9% of the newest cars had broken down in the last year, and there are fewer reports of problems with cars. However, there has been little change over recent years in the average number of faults, with 33% of cars suffering from at least one fault in their first year. Rust can still be a problem in older cars.
