The Mazda 323, Nissan Almera and Renault Megane are better than average small family cars while, in the executive range, the Mercedes-Benz C-class is recommended, although it's security is not particularly good and the gear change is tricky. The Nissan Micra is a reliable supermini which handles well and is economical to run. The Nissan Primera handles well, is easy to drive and has a smooth gear change. The Peugeot 406 is another good large family car because it has a quiet engine, it responds well and it offers good ride quality.

Small family cars

A few small family cars are very good buys. The Honda Civic, a mainly trouble free car, handles and steers well. The Mazda 323 has good secondary safety. The Nissan Sunny is easy to drive. The Rover 200 and 400 offer a comfortable ride and feature good secondary safety. The Subaru Impreza has good brakes. The Toyota Corolla is dependable and has a large trunk.

Small family contest
Article Abstract:
The small family car is the most popular kind of car. The Rover 200 400 series are still the best cars. The Mazda 323 is easy to drive and should hold its value well. The Kia Mentor, costing roughly 10,000 pounds sterling, is not very appealing to drivers. The Proton MPi, costing from 6,990 pounds sterling, is cheap and reliable.
