Article Abstract:
Approximately 3,800 bank and building society members were surveyed on overall satisfaction with their current banking service. Respondents were most satisfied with Yorkshire Bank, Royal Bank of Scotland, FirstDirect, Co-operative Bank and Abbey National. The worst rated banks were NatWest, Midland and Lloyds. FirstDirect and Co-operative Bank offer the best current accounts in terms of efficiency, while Midland offers the worst. While half of UK banking customers holds current accounts with National Westmorland, Midland and Lloyds, these banks rated poorly for overall satisfaction.
