How to fill in your tax return
Article Abstract:
The new self-assessment system adopted by the UK Inland Revenue places the responsibility for assessing tax liabilities with the individual taxpayer. It is possible to request the Inland Revenue to calculate the actual amount of tax owing, but all the information required to assess a person's tax position must now be collected by that person. There is now a standard tax return form, but supplementary pages may be included, according to the type of income a person has.
