Making sense of scents: Whether your'e a Hugo man or an Estee Lauder woman, are you paying too much for scent? We investigate perfume prices
Article Abstract:
The prices of several fine fragrances were compared in several stores, and prices were found to be remarkably similar, with retailers tending to use the manufacturers' recommended retail prices. However Superdrug and other discount suppliers are the exception. Most of the big name perfume ranges are owned by just a few multinational companies. A fragrance test panel was asked to sniff a range of fine and mass fragrances, and most were unable to tell if a scent was an expensive fine fragrances of a cheaper mass scent.

Article Abstract:
Twenty-nine families tested pizzas from the main chains, regional chains and independent restaurants. Two different pizzas were tested, margheritas (cheese and tomato) and pepperoni pizzas. The best liked pizzas were those that the testers thought looked best. Teenagers tended to prefer the more cheesy/greasy pizzas, with adults preferring the stronger flavours. Pizza Express offered the cheapest margherita pizza, although it does not deliver.
