Postorogenic denudation along the late Paleozoic Ouachita trend, south central United States of America: magnitude and timing constraints from apatite fission track data
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the applicability of apatite fission track data on the study of the magnitude and timing of synorogenic and postorogenic denudation along folds and thrust belts. Results showed that the erosion of the orogen may have functioned as the main mechanism for the flexural isostatic unloading of the foreland crust. Mild reheating of the samples after the pre-Cretaceous cooling period was discovered.

Evolution of Kap Cannon Thrust Zone
Article Abstract:
Two NW-SE profiles across the Kap Cannon Thrust Zone (KCTZ), situated at Kap Cannon and Lockwood O, were used to follow the chronological order of events, with the Ellesmerian structures, development of Eurekan shearing and mylonite formation and the structures in differing units of its footwall. This results in an interpretative model of the evolution of the thrust zone.
