Are dividends disappearing? Dividend concentration and the consolidation of earnings
Article Abstract:
An analysis of dividends paid out over the past two decades reveals that smaller number of firms paid out larger ratios of dividends and were also the larger earners. The majority of the firms pay very insignificant amount of dividend and their dividend payout policy has little impact on aggregate earnings.
