Governor Mario Cuomo of New York is not campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination. He is a frequent critic of administration economic and social policies. His gubernatorial record, although good, is far from outstanding. He appears reluctant to commit himself to issues and policies. Cuomo may be ready for a presidential bid in 1988.

A Cliche for All Candidates
Article Abstract:
Contrary to popular wisdom, the United States government does aid industry. The struggle of the United States to develop an industrial policy is considered. Three lines favored by Democrats include a national industrial development bank, an economic co-operation council and promotion of research and development. Graphs are included.

RFC Remembered
Article Abstract:
The history of the Reconstruction Finance Corporation (RFC) is drawn. The RFC was a government-run industrial bank to finance United States industry, banking, farmers and railways during the 1930s depression. A modern version is promised.
