Article Abstract:
A paper elucidating corporate investment in universities and its effect on the independence of academia is presented. Some critics have called for the establishment of regulatory guidelines and standards limiting the extent of corporate involvement in universities while still permitting academia to maximize its resources and provide students with job opportunities.
